Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LCV and LFX)

Preliminary Procedures

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac n Fill) .
2. Remove the radiator vent outlet hose from the radiator surge tank and position out of the way. Refer to Radiator Vent Outlet Hose Replacement .
3. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir hose from the radiator surge tank and position out of the way. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Hose Replacement (LFX) Coolant Recovery Reservoir Hose Replacement (LCV) .
4. Remove the heater outlet hose from the surge tank and position out of the way. Refer to Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (Radiator Surge Tank to Outlet Heater Hose Tee)Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (Heater Outlet Hose Tee to Heater Core Tube LFX)Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (Heater Outlet Hose Tee to Heater Outlet Pipe LFX)Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (Heater Outlet Hose Tee to Heater Core Tube LCV)Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (Heater Outlet Hose Tee to Water Outlet LCV) .

Procedures

1. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac n Fill) .
2. Check the cooling system for leaks.
