Pinpoint Test J: System Pressure Valve

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Refer to TRANSMISSION CONTROLS - TR9070 for schematic and connector information.

    Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

The TR9070 transmission uses hydraulic line pressure to engage and disengage each of the clutches, to engage and disengage each gear, and to circulate fluid through the transmission fluid cooling system. Line pressure is controlled by the system pressure valve (SPV). The TCM provides system voltage to the system pressure valve (SPV) through a high side driver. The TCM then controls the system pressure valve (SPV) through a low side driver.

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
TCM P2727:00 Pressure Control Solenoid 'E' Control Circuit/Open: No Sub Type Information The TCM sets this DTC when it detects an open in the system pressure valve (SPV) circuit.
TCM P2729:00 Pressure Control Solenoid 'E' Control Circuit Low: No Sub Type Information The TCM sets this DTC when it detects an open or a short to ground in the system pressure valve (SPV) circuit.
TCM P2730:00 Pressure Control Solenoid 'E' Control Circuit High: No Sub Type Information The TCM sets this DTC when it detects a short to power in the system pressure valve (SPV) circuit.
