Left Front Fender: Removal

- Remove the battery tray. (Refer to REMOVAL (2003) or BATTERY TRAY (2004))
- Raise and support the vehicle. (Refer to JACKING & HOISTING )
- Remove left front wheel.
- Remove wheel opening molding. (Refer to BODY/EXTERIOR/WHEEL OPENING MOLDING-REMOVAL )
- Remove front end splash shield. (Refer to BODY/EXTERIOR/FRONT END SPLASH SHIELDS-REMOVAL )
- Remove left headlamp module. (Refer to REMOVAL (2003) or HEADLAMP (2004))
- Remove HCU (hydraulic control unit) if equipped. (Refer to REMOVAL )
- Disengage clips attaching hood release cable to inner fender.
- Disengage clips attaching wire harness to inner fender and wheelhouse.
- Remove bolt attaching fender to lower rocker panel.
- Remove bolts attaching fender to lower radiator closure panel (Fig 1 ).
- Remove bolts attaching fender to hood hinge support bracket.
- Remove bolts attaching fender to upper cowl (Figure ).
- Remove bolts attaching fender to upper radiator closure panel.
- Separate fender and wheelhouse from vehicle.
