Installation Procedure

    With the aid of an assistant, position the instrument panel carrier (1) into the vehicle.

  2. Reposition the instrument panel wiring harness into vehicle position as was noted in the removal process and connect the fasteners securing the instrument panel wiring harness to the instrument panel assembly.
  3. Install the right and left front floor flood lamps. Refer to Front Floor Flood Lamp Replacement (Right Side)Front Floor Flood Lamp Replacement (Left Side) .
  4. Install the data link connector.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Install the instrument panel carrier nuts (2) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  6. Install the instrument carrier fasteners (1) and tighten to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

    Install the instrument panel upper trim panel fasteners (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

    Install the instrument panel center and outer air outlet fasteners (1) and tighten to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

    Install the instrument carrier fasteners (1) and tighten to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

    Install the instrument carrier fasteners (1) and tighten to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

    Install the navigation signal splitter (1). Refer to Navigation Signal Splitter Replacement (Chevrolet / GMC) .

    Install the left and right radio speakers (2). Refer to Radio Speaker Replacement (Chevrolet / GMC) .

    Install the disc player (2). Refer to Disc Player Replacement .

    Install the head-up display (3), if equipped. Refer to Head-Up Display Replacement (Chevrolet / GMC) .

    Install the instrument cluster (2). Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement (Chevrolet / GMC) .

    Install both instrument panel wiring harness junction blocks (1). Refer to Instrument Panel Wiring Harness Junction Block Replacement .

    Install the instrument panel upper trim panel (3). Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement (Chevrolet / GMC) .

    Install the instrument panel center compartment (3), if equipped. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Compartment Replacement (Chevrolet / GMC)

    Install the front floor console (3), if equipped. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement (Chevrolet / GMC) .

  22. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
