Callout	Component Name
Preliminary Procedures Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac N Fill L83 L86) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill L83 L86) . Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor. Remove the drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement - Accessory . Remove the generator and drive belt tensioner bracket. Refer to Generator Bracket Replacement (L83, L86) . Disconnect the radiator surge tank inlet hose from the engine coolant manifold. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Replacement (Surge Tank To Radiator L83 L86) Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Replacement (Surge Tank To Water Outlet L83 L86) . Disconnect the radiator inlet and outlet hoses from the engine coolant manifold. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (L83 L86) , and Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (L83 L86) . Disconnect the heater inlet and outlet hoses from the engine coolant manifold. Refer to Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (L83 L86) , and Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (L83 L86) . Separate the engine electrical wiring harness from the engine coolant manifold and reposition the harness.
1	Engine Coolant Manifold Fastener (Qty: 7) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Clean the fastener threads and apply thread locker. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers . NOTE: Tighten the water pump bolts in the sequence shown. Tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
2	Engine Coolant Manifold Gaskets Procedure Install a new engine coolant manifold gaskets.
3	Engine Coolant Manifold Procedure If replacing the engine coolant manifold perform the following: Engine Coolant Manifold Disassemble Engine Coolant Manifold Cleaning and Inspection Engine Coolant Manifold Assemble
