Installation Procedure

  1. Drive Motor Power Inverter Module Cover Installation  (2) - Install

  2. Drive Motor Battery Positive and Negative Cable Connector (2) - Install

  3. Drive Motor Battery Positive and Negative Cable Connector Bolt (1) - Tighten in sequence [4x] 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  4. Connect the transmission electrical connector (2).

  5. Connect the transmission high voltage electrical connectors (3).
  6. Connect the radiator surge tank overflow hose (1).
  7. Install the transmission mount transmission side bracket. Refer to Transmission Mount Transmission-Side Bracket Replacement 
  8. Install the secondary shield (2) to the transmission.

  9. Install the primary shield (3) to the transmission.

  10. Install the range selector lever cable bracket. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Bracket Replacement 
  11. Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment  - Adjust
  12. Drive Motor Generator Power Inverter Module Cooling System Draining and Filling - Fill
  13. Enable the high voltage system and connect the A4 Hybrid/EV Battery Pack high voltage harness connector at the T6 Power Inverter Module. Refer to High Voltage Enabling .
  14. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9)
