Removal Procedure

Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Remove
Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement - Remove
Disconnect the electrical connectors. (1)

Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pipe (2) - Disconnect Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
Unclip the engine wiring harness retainer (3) from the intake manifold.
Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Outlet Pipe Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Outlet Pipe (2) @ Intake Manifold - Separate
Throttle Body Assembly Replacement - Remove
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
Intake Manifold Brace Bolt (2) - Remove [2x]

Intake Manifold Brace (1) - Remove
Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
Intake Manifold Bolt (1) - Remove [7x]

NOTE: Loosen the intake manifold bolts to disengage threads; the bolts remain in the intake manifold.
Intake Manifold (1) - Remove

Intake Manifold Gasket (2) - Remove and DISCARD
Clean and inspect the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Cleaning and Inspection
Transfer components as necessary.
