Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (with HP2)

Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (with HP2)

WARNING:

Do not repair or replace the seat stitching or seams in the seat back trim cover with an internal mounted seat side airbag module. Replace the complete seat back trim cover from the OEM. Non-OEM seat stitching may cause improper airbag deployment which could result in personal injury.

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (without HP2) , Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (with HP2) .
  2. Remove the front seat back finish panel. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement (without HP2) , Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement (with HP2) .
  3. Remove the front seat cushion outer trim panel. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (with HP2) , Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Manual Seat without HP2) , Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement (Power Seat without HP2) .
  4. Remove the front seat cushion inner trim panel. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Inner Trim Panel Replacement (without HP2) , Front Seat Cushion Inner Trim Panel Replacement (with HP2) .
  5. Remove the front seat head restraint. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Head Restraint Replacement (With AYE) , Driver or Passenger Seat Head Restraint Replacement (Without AYE) .
  6. Remove lumbar cable if equipped.
1 Front Seat Back Cushion Cover

Procedure

  1. Disengage the j-channel retainers from the seat back cushion frame.
  2. Remove the hog rings.
  3. Tilt the seat back forward to make it easier to remove and install the cover.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors that attach to the seat back cushion, if equipped.
  5. Remove the seat back cushion cover and pad from the seat cushion frame as an assembly.
  6. Pull the cover away from the pad to disengage the retainers.
