Rotating Clutch Housing Inspection

  1. Inspect turbine tone wheel or PTO gear for damage. Ensure tone wheel is not out of round or damaged. If PTO gear is damaged, replace rotating clutch housing assembly (PTO gear is not serviceable separately). If tone wheel is damaged, replace tone wheel. See ROTATING CLUTCH HOUSING TONE WHEEL REPLACEMENT .
  2. Measure inside diameter of rotating seal bore of clutch housing (dimension "A"). See Fig 1. Compare measurement to specifications. See ROTATING CLUTCH MODULE SPECIFICATIONS  table under TRANSMISSION SPECIFICATIONS. If measurement exceeds maximum specification, replace rotating clutch housing.
  3. Inspect the bushing inside the front of the rotating clutch housing for damage. Measure inside diameter of bushing (dimension "B"). See Fig 1. Compare measurement to specifications. See ROTATING CLUTCH MODULE SPECIFICATIONS  table under TRANSMISSION SPECIFICATIONS. If measurement exceeds maximum specification, replace bushing. See ROTATING CLUTCH HOUSING BUSHING REPLACEMENT .
