Installation Procedure

  1. Install the new supercharger gaskets to the engine.

  3. Install the appropriate size guide pins (1, 2) from the EN 46109  alignment pin set to the engine as shown.

  5. If previously removed, install the EN-47748  to the supercharger. See Special Tools .
  6. Install an engine hoist to the EN-47748  and raise the supercharger off the workbench. See Special Tools .
  7. Remove the EN-47833  from the supercharger. See Special Tools .
  8. Inspect the gasket surface on the supercharger and clean as necessary.

  10. Ensure that all wiring and vacuum lines are positioned aside and install the supercharger to the engine.
  11. Remove the engine hoist and the EN-47748  . See Special Tools .
  12. Remove the EN 46109  alignment pins.

  14. Loosely install the NEW supercharger bolts.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  16. Tighten the supercharger bolts in sequence as shown.

    Tighten:  Tighten the supercharger bolts to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).

  17. Install the supercharger drive belt. Refer to Supercharger Belt Replacement .

  19. Connect the PCV tube fitting (1) to the right side camshaft cover.

  21. Connect the SIAP sensor vacuum line fitting (1) to the rear of the supercharger.

  23. Connect the supercharger IAT sensor electrical connector.
  24. Connect the MAP sensor vacuum line fitting (2) to the supercharger.

  26. Connect the supercharger bypass regulator solenoid valve electrical connector (3).

  28. Connect the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve electrical connector (7).
  29. Connect the throttle body electrical connector (3).

  31. Install the fuel injector rail assembly (1).

  33. Using NEW O-rings, install the front portion of the supercharger front manifold (2). Refer to Charge Air Cooler Front Manifold Replacement .
  34. Install the front and rear supercharger inlet duct assemblies. Refer to Supercharger Inlet Duct Assembly Replacement .
  35. Install the air inlet housing front panel. Refer to Air Inlet Housing Front Panel Replacement .
  36. Install the wiper motor module. Refer to Windshield Wiper System Module Replacement .
  37. Install the air inlet grille. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
  38. Install the wiper arm assemblies. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement .
  39. Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement .
  40. Install the cross vehicle brace. Refer to Cross Vehicle Brace Replacement (DX) .
  41. Install the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement .
  42. Fill the charge air cooling system with coolant and check for leaks. Refer to Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) or Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac N Fill) .
