Hood Replacement

CAUTION: When a hood hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury. Preliminary Procedure The primary hood latch striker is not serviceable separately from the hood. If the hood striker is damaged, the hood must be replaced. The hood striker bolts must be reused, or if damaged replaced with new hood striker bolts. If the hood and/or striker needs to be replaced, refer to Hood Primary Latch Striker Replacement . Remove the hood assist rod. Refer to Hood Open Assist Rod Replacement .
1	Hood Bolt (Qty: 2) NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tighten: 9 N.m (80 lb in)
2	Hood Tips Disconnect any electrical connectors. Transfer any parts as needed.
