Install top wishbone
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Tighten the screw connection in the NORMAL POSITION .
Tighten the screw connection in the NORMAL POSITION .
- Position the upper wishbone (1).
- Replace the screws (3) and (4) and nuts (2) and (5).
Parts: Bolts, nuts
- Insert the screw (4) and manually screw on the nut (5).
- Insert the screw (3) and manually screw on the nut (2).
The threaded connections are tightened with the torque wrench later in the NORMAL POSITION .
- Insert special tool 2 219012 into special tool 2 358 630
.
Adjust the vehicle into the NORMAL POSITION
NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
To lift the wheel carrier, the spring must be tensioned or removed!
Do not move the wheel carrier to the normal position against the spring force! - Raise the wheel carrier using special tool 2 219 012
up to dimension (A). TECHNICAL DATA SPECIFICATION
G42 rear wheel drive, standard suspension Measured from center of wheel hut to lower edge of wheel arch Dimension A 356+10-10 mm - Tighten nut (2).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION
Upper wishbone to rear axle carrier M12
Replace screw and nut.
Tighten in normal position.Tightening torque 70 Nm Angle of rotation 135° - Tighten nut (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION
Upper wishbone to wheel carrier M12
Replace screw and nut.
Tighten in normal position.Joining torque 100 Nm Angle of rotation 90° - Empty special tool 2 219012
and set it aside.
Do not remove special tool 2 358 630 yet.
