Taking engine out of installation position

- When lowering the engine, guide the engine mount (1) in the front subframe.
- Make sure that the plastic of the engine mount (1) is not damaged.
- Lower the engine by turning the spindle 2 361 506 (00 6 103)
.
- Tighten down screw (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Engine mount to front axle support M8 tightening torque
19 Nm - Tighten the screw (1) of the right engine mount with a standard tool.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Engine mount to engine support bracket M12 tightening torque
100 Nm - Install the right reinforcement strut (2).
- Tighten down screw (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Engine mount reinforcement strut on front subframe M12 tightening torque
110 Nm - Tighten down screw (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Engine mount reinforcement strut on body M12 tightening torque
110 Nm - Release the special tool 0 490 567 (11 0 020) from the engine bridge.
- Release and remove the special tool 0 490 567 (11 0 020)
from the mounting brackets (1).
Installing intake filter housing
Prerequisite
Ignition is switched off.
- Check rubber mount (1) for correct fit in the intake filter housing.
- Feed in the cable of the Lambda oxygen sensors through the opening (arrow) on the intake filter housing (1).
- Connect intake filter housing (1) with the clean air pipes (2).
- Install intake filter housing (1) and fasten in the rubber mounts (markings).
- Tighten clamps (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Clean air pipe to upper section of intake filter housing cl. tightening torque
3 Nm - Attach the cable (4) of the Lambda oxygen sensor to the clamps.
- Attach the connector (2) to the holder (3) and lock. The connectors (2) must engage audibly.
- Connect the connector (1) of the Lambda oxygen sensors and lock.
The connectors (1) must engage audibly.
Install acoustic cover
NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to the acoustic cover/design cover .
Jerky movements during disassembly and application of excessive force during installation may result in breakage of the acoustic cover/design cover .- Disassemble or mount the acoustic cover/design cover carefully.
- Disassemble or mount snap-lock couplings of the ball pivots one after the other.
- Disassemble or mount the acoustic cover/design cover only at temperatures > 20°C.
- Use only distilled water as an auxiliary material during installation, no lubricants.
- Check acoustic cover for correct seating of the rubber mount (1).
- Check rubber mount (1) and (2) for correct fit.
- Clip the acoustic cover (1) in the holder.
