Installing transmission wiring harness
- Feed in the transmission wiring harness.
- Connect plug connection (1) and lock.
- Position the connector (2).
- Turn the connector with the bayonet closure (2) clockwise and lock.
- Engage the detents of the transmission wiring harness (1).
- Position the grounding point.
- Tighten down screw (2).

- Engage the detents of the transmission wiring harness (1).
- Engage the detents of the transmission wiring harness (1).
- Replace the cable ties (1).
Parts: Cable tie
- Tighten the cable tie (1) and cut off protruding end.
- Connect plug connection (3) and lock.
- Engage the detents of the transmission wiring harness (2).
- Fix vehicle wiring harness (2) with the clips (1).
Installing transmission cross member .
- Install the transmission cross member (3).
- Tighten down screw (1).

- Tighten down screws (2).

- Release the luggage strap (1) from the transmission.
- Remove the special tools 0 495 498 (23 4 050) and 2 219 012 .
Install the stiffening plate
- Insert the thrust field (3) on the covers of the steering assembly (2) and position.
- Replace the bolts (arrows).

- Tighten screws (arrows).

- Tighten down screws (1).

Install front underbody protection
Install front underbody protection
- Insert the front underbody protection (1).
- Slide the front underbody protection (1) slightly backwards and insert it under the thrust field (2).
- Tighten all bolts (arrows).

- Feed in the transmission wiring harness (2).
- Engage the transmission wiring harness (2) on the holders (1).
- Lock the holder (1) of the transmission wiring harness downward.

- When working on the fuel system, make sure the workstation has sufficient ventilation, e.g., by means of extraction.
- Tightly seal off open lines and connections; collect any leakage fuel directly at the point of exit.

- Connect and lock tank vent line (2).
- Engage the transmission wiring harness downward in area (1).
- Engage the engine wiring harness on the holder (2).
- Lock the clip of the vehicle wiring harness (1).
- Connect and lock the plug connections (1).
