Installing the expansion tank for the charge air cooler

• Position the expansion tank for the charge air cooler.
• Catch and dispose of escaping coolant.
• Press the coolant lines (4) into the detent (3) and lock.
• Position the connecting branch (2) of the coolant line on the expansion tank for the charge air cooler.

  The retaining spring (1) must engage audibly.

• Remove the rubber mat (2) between expansion tank (1) and the cylinder head cover.

• Tighten down screw (2).

• Top up coolant to maximum mark  .
• Top up coolant.

• Install the sealing cap (1) of the expansion tank for the charge air cooler.

• Refer to INSTALLING ACOUSTIC COVER .
• Installing the cover panel of the master DME control unit.

  • Position the cover of the master DME control unit (1)
  • Engage the cover panel of the master DME control unit (1) downwards with the clamps (2) and the guide pins (3) in the carrier plate of the DME.
