Installing the vacuum pump

• Replace the sealing ring (2) on the vacuum pump (1).

  Parts:  Sealing ring

  NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION 
  Always turn the drive flange in clockwise
  direction.
• Position the drive flange (3) clockwise to the recess (4) on the camshaft.

• Insert the vacuum pump (3) and position.
• Tighten down screws (1).
  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
  
  

  Vacuum pump to cylinder head
  M6x25 screw	Tightening torque	10 Nm

• Tighten down screws (2).
  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
  
  

  Vacuum pump to cylinder head
  M6x25 screw	Tightening torque	10 Nm

• Position the vacuum line.
• Connect the vacuum line at the closure (1) and lock.

• Position the line (1) and snap-into the clamps (2).

  Remove the battery cover  .

  NOTE: The following step(s) must be performed if the listed component(s) is/are installed.
  • Remove the special tool 2 452 007  from the battery.

  • Install the cover (2).
  • Lock the lock (1).
• Refer to INSTALLING THE COVER OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON THE REAR LEFT .
