SEALING COMPOUND SPECIFICATIONS

Loctite 5970 liquid sealing compound Processing time <10 minutes at room temperature

50 ml, Cartridge

83190404517

Clean sealing surfaces.
Apply the sealing compound at the contact points (arrows) on the crankcase and oil pan.
Check the fitting sleeves for damage and replace if necessary.

Push the sealing cap (2) with the shaft seal and support ring (1) and abut (arrow).

Counter-hold the sealing cap (2) with the shaft seal in the lower area (arrow).
Install the support ring (1) on the camshaft.
Slide the sealing cap (2) with the upper shaft seal above the support ring (1) and abut.

Torx screw M6	tightening torque	10 Nm
