63 12 010 Removing and installing (replacing) headlight (LED technology)

WARNING: Follow instructions for HANDLING BULBS/LIGHT SOURCES (EXTERIOR LIGHTS) .

NOTE: Procedure shown on left headlight. Procedure for right headlight is similar.

Necessary preliminary work:

NOTE: If the retaining clip (2) is present, the central connector on the headlight cannot be disconnected!

Release screw (1) and remove retaining clip (2) if necessary.

Unlock and remove cover (1).

NOTE: Work shown on the F30 by way of example, deviations in detail are possible in other models.

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Unfasten screws (2).

Tightening torque: 63 12 1AZ .

Release screw (3).

Tightening torque: 63 12 1AZ .

Carefully remove headlight (2) in direction of arrow.

Installation note:

Correctly align the headlight to the holder (2).

Rubber plugs (1) in engine compartment lid (2) must not be missing or damaged.

No cavity preservation may emerge from the rubber plugs (1).
