Replacing Left Front Door

Precondition

New part is painted.

Pull the lock (1) to the top and disconnect the plug connection (2).

Unclip the wiring harness (1) at the marked positions (arrows).

Release the grommet (1) and feed out the wiring harness from the door.

- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.

Secure front door against falling.
Release the screws (1) and remove the front door.
Renew the front left door.
Parts: Door, front left
Secure door against falling.
Position the new door at the door hinges.

Tighten the screws (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Front door to door hinge
screw
	Tightening torque	40 Nm

Carefully close the front door and check for contact between vehicle bodies. If necessary, reposition the door.

Insert the vehicle wiring harness in the door.
Mount grommet (1) and check for correct fit (watertightness).

Connect the plug connection (1) and push the lock (2) down.

Remount the clips (1).
Remount the seals (2).
Check the sealings (2) for damage and that they have been fitted correctly.
If necessary, install new sealing,

Release the screw (1) and remount the retaining bracket (2).

Tighten screw (1).

Remount the expansion nuts (2).
