Rear Lid, Adjusting

Requirement
- When adjusting the rear lid, the vehicle must be resting on its wheels on a level surface.
- The rear lid must engage in the striker without great force.
The rear lid is correctly installed, when it is closed and:
- The gap dimensions are even.
- The contours align.
- The rear lid is not positioned too far inward or outward.
-- Adjust the side and length adjustment at hinge -1-. Refer to HINGES, ADJUSTING .
-- Adjust the height adjustment with the adjusting buffer -2-. Refer to ADJUSTING BUFFERS, ADJUSTING .
-- Adjust the height adjustment on the striker -3-. Refer to Striker, Adjusting .
-- Check the gap dimensions using the Gauge - Gap Adjustment:3371 . To do so, refer to ADJUSTMENT DIMENSIONS .
