Oil Pump, Removing And Installing: Installation

Tightening specification, refer to OIL PUMP OVERVIEW .

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

Replace O-ring and bolts for oil pump and chain sprockets.

-- Insert oil pump bolts -arrows- with locking compound; locking compound .

-- Install timing mechanism drive chain, refer to TIMING MECHANISM DRIVE CHAIN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the timing chain cover lower section, refer to LOWER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the oil pan, refer to OIL PAN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- On vehicle with manual transmission, install dual mass flywheel, refer to DUAL MASS FLYWHEEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- On a vehicle with automatic transmission, install drive plate, refer to DRIVE PLATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the cylinder head cover, refer to CYLINDER HEAD COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the intake manifold, refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD .

-- Install the engine, refer to ENGINE, INSTALLATION .

-- Fill engine oil and check the oil level, refer to OIL LEVEL, CHECKING .
