Ribbed Belt Drive Overview

Ribbed Belt
- Check for wear.
- Do not kink.
  CAUTION:
  Risk of damage due to reversed running direction on a used ribbed belt.
  - Before Removal ribbed belt, marking running direction with chalk or felt-tip pen for reinstallation later.
- Removing and Installing, refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- When Installation, make sure it is seated correctly on the pulleys.
Power Steering Pump Ribbed Belt Pulley
Bolt
- Tightening specification, refer to Special Tools .
Vibration Damper
- With ribbed belt pulley.
- Removing and Installing, refer to VIBRATION DAMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Bolt
- 100 Nm + 180° (¹ /₂ turn)
- Replace
- Use the Counterhold - Vibration DamperT10069 to loosen and tighten.
Ribbed Belt Tensioning Roller
- Turn with a wrench to release the tension on the ribbed belt.
- Secure with M8x50 bolt.
- Removing and Installing, refer to RIBBED BELT TENSIONER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

- Removing and Installing, refer to AUXILIARY COMPONENTS BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Bolt
- Tightening specification, refer to Special Tools .
Generator
- Removing and Installing, refer to GROUND CABLE WITH Battery Monitoring Control Module -J367- FROM MY 09, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
A/C Compressor Fitting Sleeve
A/C Compressor
- Do not remove or disconnect refrigerant lines.
- Removing and Installing, refer to COMPRESSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING ON BRACKET .

- Tightening specification, refer to Specifications .
Bolt
- Tightening specification, refer to Specifications .
Bolt
- 25 Nm
Fitting Screw
- Quantity: 2
- Tightening sequence, refer to Fig 2.
Power Steering Pump
- Removing and Installing, refer to POWER STEERING PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Bolt
- Tightening specification, refer to Special Tools .
Idler Roller
Bolt
- 45 Nm

-- Tighten bolts in 2 stages in -1... 5- sequence as follows:

-- Tighten bolts by hand.-- Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm.

NOTE:

Screws -1- and -2- are fitting screws.

-- Tighten the bolts in 3 steps as follows:

-- Install screws -1 to 11- and tighten by hand.-- Tighten the bolts -1 to 6- in a diagonal sequence in stages to 10 Nm.-- Tighten the bolts -7 to 11- to 10 Nm.
