Remove the Wheel Spindle

Remove:
- the drive shaft nut
- the tie rod ball joint. See Removing the Ball Joint For the Tie Rod
- slacken off the wheel spindle nut as much as possible
- the two wheel spindle screws.
Use a universal puller to withdraw the drive shaft from the wheel spindle. See Control Arm From Ball Joint, Removing .
Remove the nut from the ball joint.
WARNING:
Secure the tool by tying it into place to prevent damage.
Press out the ball joint. Use special tool 9995637 .
Remove the wheel spindle.
