Removing the Ball Joint For the Tie Rod

Slacken off the locknut for the tie rod.

Remove the pin and the castle nut (if applicable), or the lock nut for the ball joint for the tie rod.

Use special tool 9995637 .

WARNING: Tie the tool in place using the cord so that it cannot fall off and cause damage.

Press out the ball joint with the special tool.

Remove the ball joint from the tie rod (note the number of turns).
