Component Location Overview - Seals

NOTE:
Do not remove all the bolts in the left and right flange shafts at the same time. If the differential bevel gears inside the differential rotate, it will be difficult to install the bolts.
- Transmission
- Right Seal on Transmission
- Replacing. Refer to RIGHT SEAL, REPLACING .
- Seal
- For the selector shaft
- Replacing. Refer to SELECTOR SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING .
- Right Seal
- For AWD vehicles
- Replacing. Refer to RIGHT SEAL ON BEVEL BOX, REPLACING .
- For vehicles with front axle-differential lock
- Replacing. Refer to RIGHT SEAL ON OUTER FRONT AXLE DIFFERENTIAL LOCK, REPLACING .
- Seal
- Replace after removing
- Insert into the surrounding right flange shaft groove
- Remove to replace needle bearing (polygon bearing). Refer to RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT NEEDLE BEARING (POLYGON BEARING), REPLACING .
- Right Flange Shaft
- For AWD vehicles
- Removing and installing. Refer to RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Needle Bearing (Polygon Bearing)
- If it is difficult to move when the flange shaft is removed, this is not a fault
- Acoustic test only when installed
- Check for damage, for example for cracks on the bearing outer race
- Replacing. Refer to RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT NEEDLE BEARING (POLYGON BEARING), REPLACING .
- Bevel Box
- Output Flange Seal
- For AWD vehicles
- Replacing. Refer to DRIVESHAFT OUTPUT FLANGE SEAL ON BEVEL BOX, REPLACING .
- Seal
- For AWD vehicles
- Between the bevel box and transmission on the bevel box
- Replacing. Refer to LEFT SEAL BETWEEN BEVEL BOX AND TRANSMISSION, REPLACING .
- Between the front axle differential lock and transmission on front axle differential lock
- Replacing. Refer to SEAL BETWEEN FRONT AXLE DIFFERENTIAL LOCK AND TRANSMISSION, REPLACING ON FRONT AXLE DIFFERENTIAL LOCK .
- Left Seal
- For the left flange shaft
- Replacing. Refer to LEFT SEAL, REPLACING .
