Overview - Transmission Housing

- Transmission Housing
- When replacing: adjust the output shaft and differential. Refer to ADJUSTMENT OVERVIEW
- Changes near the mount area for the cover/input shaft. Refer to -item OVERVIEW - TRANSMISSION HOUSING AND SELECTOR MECHANISM-.
- Cap
- Removing. Refer to TRANSMISSION HOUSING, SERVICING .
- Installing. Refer to TRANSMISSION HOUSING, SERVICING
- Oil Drain Plug
- Tightening specification. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING .
- Seal
- if present, replace after removing
- Transmission Fluid Filler Plug
- Tightening specification. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING .
- Locking Elbow
- For adjusting the shift mechanism. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, ADJUSTING .
- Can be replaced with transmission not disassembled
- Removing. Refer to TRANSMISSION HOUSING, SERVICING .
- Installation position. Refer to TRANSMISSION HOUSING, SERVICING .
- Installing. Refer to TRANSMISSION HOUSING, SERVICING .
- Bearing Bushing
- For the selector rods
- Removing. Refer to TRANSMISSION HOUSING, SERVICING .
- Installing. Refer to TRANSMISSION HOUSING, SERVICING .
- Retaining Sleeve
- For shift unit
- Removing when the transmission is disassembled. Refer to TRANSMISSION HOUSING, SERVICING .
- Removing when the transmission is not disassembled. Refer to TRANSMISSION HOUSING, SERVICING .
- Different retaining sleeves. Refer to TRANSMISSION HOUSING, SERVICING .
- Installing a retaining sleeve with a shoulder. Refer to TRANSMISSION HOUSING, SERVICING .
- Installing the retaining sleeve without a shoulder. Refer to TRANSMISSION HOUSING, SERVICING .
- Needle Sleeve
- For the reverse shaft
- Always replace if removed

- Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
- Output Shaft, 5th/6th and Reverse Gears
- Removing and Installing. Refer to OVERVIEW - OUTPUT SHAFT, 5TH/6TH AND REVERSE GEARS .
- When replacing: adjust output shaft for 5th/6th and reverse gear. Refer to OUTPUT SHAFT, 5TH, 6TH AND REVERSE GEARS, ADJUSTING .

- Output Shaft, 5th/6th and Reverse Gears

- Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
- Output Shaft, 1st to 4th Gears
- Removing and Installing. Refer to OUTPUT SHAFT, 1ST TO 4TH GEARS, DISASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING .
- Adjust, if output shaft for 1st to 4th gear is replaced. Refer to OUTPUT SHAFT 1ST THROUGH 4TH GEAR, ADJUSTING .
