Cooling System Assembly Overview, Body Side

Upper Coolant Hose
- To the connection sleeve at the cylinder head.
- Coolant hose connection diagram, refer to COOLANT HOSE CONNECTION DIAGRAM .
O-ring
- Replace if damaged.
Radiator
- Removing and installing, refer to RADIATOR .
- After replacing, replace the coolant.
Cap
- Check using the cooling system tester VAG 1274 and adapter VAG 1274/9. Refer to Figure.
- Pressure release valve must open at a pressure of 1.4 to 1.6 bar.
Electrical Connector
- For the engine coolant level sensor.
Bolt, 3 Nm
Expansion Tank
- With the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor
- Perform a leak test of the cooling system using the cooling system tester VAG 1274 and the adapter VAG 1274/8. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM, CHECKING FOR LEAKS .
Bolt, 5 Nm
Nut, 5 Nm
Lower Coolant Hose

Coolant Fan 2 -V177-
- Removing and installing, refer to COOLANT FAN AND COOLANT FAN 2 .

- With the coolant Fan Control (FC) control module.
