Coolant Fan And Coolant Fan 2

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Hose clamps up to 40 mm diameter 3093
Drip tray for VAS 6100 VAS 6208

Removing

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to Description and Operation .

-- Disconnect the electrical connector -1- and remove the lower bolts for the fan shroud -arrows-.

-- Remove the engine cover/upper air filter housing. Refer to ENGINE COVER/UPPER AIR FILTER HOUSING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the intake air guide -2-.

-- Clamp off the coolant hose using the 3093.

-- Place the VAS 6208 below and disconnect the quick release coupling -1-.

NOTE:

If the service position is needed during the following work, the coolant supply line quick release coupling must not be disconnected.

-- Remove the upper fan shroud bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the fan shroud upward.

-- Disconnect the electrical connector -1- and lay the wire free.

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and remove the fans.

Installing

Installation is performed in reverse order. When doing this note the following:

-- Coolant checking and topping off, if necessary. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING .
