Test sequence

- Remove rear right wheelhousing liner.
Vehicles with engine codes AFP and BDF
- Disconnect 3-pin connector -1- of Leak Detection Pump (LDP) -V144- (arrow).
Vehicles with engine code BJS
- Remove cover plate (Refer to Parts of EVAP canister system (vehicles with engine code BJS), removing and installing , item 16).
- Disconnect 3-pin connector -1- of Leak Detection Pump (LDP) -V144-.
Continuation for all vehicles
- Check resistance between terminals 1 + 3 of diagnostic pump.
Specified value: 640 to 720 Ω
- Check resistance between terminals 2 + 3 of diagnostic pump.
Specified value: 12.0 to 20.0 Ω
If specified values are not obtained:
- Replace Leak Detection Pump (LDP) -V144-:
- Vehicles with engine code AFP. Refer to Parts of EVAP canister system (vehicles with engine code AFP), removing and installing , item 8
- Vehicles with engine code BDF. Refer to Parts of EVAP canister system (vehicles with engine code BDF), removing and installing , item 7
- Vehicles with engine code BJS. Refer to Parts of Leak Detection Pump -LDP- (vehicles with engine code BJS), removing and installing , item 4
- Erase DTC memory of Engine Control Module (ECM). Refer to Diagnostic mode 4: Reset/erase diagnostic data
- Generate readiness code. Refer to Readiness code, generating
If specified values are obtained:
- Check wires to control module according to wiring diagram. Refer to Checking wires to control module .
