Removal [12/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  2. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  3. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2022 - ]

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE

  5. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 EGR PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [12/2022 - 03/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [03/2023 - ]
  7. REMOVE EGR VALVE ADAPTER GASKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [12/2022 - 03/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [03/2023 - ]

  8. REMOVE EGR INLET GASKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [12/2022 - 03/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [03/2023 - ]

  9. SEPARATE VACUUM HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  10. REMOVE E.F.I. VACUUM SENSOR ASSEMBLY (MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR) 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
  11. DISCONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS PIPE

      1. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the bolt and separate the No. 3 water by-pass pipe from the intake manifold.
  12. REMOVE WIRING HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

      1. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the bolt and separate the wiring harness clamp bracket from the intake manifold.
  13. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD STAY

      1. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the bolt (A).
      2. Remove the bolt (B).
      3. Disengage the guide and remove the intake manifold stay.
  14. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

      bolt nut
      1. Remove the bolt and 2 nuts and No. 2 fuel delivery guard.
      2. Remove the 3 bolts and intake manifold.
  15. REMOVE NO. 1 INTAKE MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET

  16. REMOVE VACUUM HOSE
