Disassembly [02/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [02/2024 - ]
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2024 - ]

  3. REMOVE REAR DOOR UPPER TRIM COVER LH

      1. Using a moulding remover A, detach the claw to remove the rear door upper trim cover LH.
  4. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      1. Using a moulding remover A, detach the claw and guide to remove the rear door armrest cover sub-assembly LH.
  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Peel back the rear door weatherstrip LH until the installation screw can be seen.
      2. Remove the screw.
      3. Remove the 2 bolts and rear door rear lower window frame sub-assembly LH.

      Move in this Direction - -
      1. Connect the connector.
      2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and turn the ignition switch to ON.

        Refer to INSTALLATION [02/2024 - ]

      3. Move the rear door glass sub-assembly LH to the bottom position.

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

        Refer to REMOVAL [02/2024 - ]

      2. Disconnect the connector.
      3. Separate the rear door glass sub-assembly LH from the rear door window regulator assembly.
      4. Remove the rear door glass sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
        NOTE:

        Do not damage the rear door glass sub-assembly LH.

  22. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS CHANNEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the rear door glass channel sub-assembly LH.

      1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the "TORX" screw.
      2. Detach the claw and remove the rear door outside handle cover.

      Remove in this Direction - -
      1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the "TORX" screw.
      2. Detach the claw and guide to remove the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

  34. REMOVE REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY LH

  35. REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    NOTE:

    When removing the rear door weatherstrip LH, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the rear door weatherstrip LH using a heat light.

    Standard Value

    Part Temperature
    Rear Door Weatherstrip LH 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:
    • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts.
    • Touching the heat light may result in burns.
    • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

    NOTE:

    Do not heat the rear door weatherstrip LH excessively.

      Double-sided Tape - -
      1. Heat the adhesive of the rear door weatherstrip LH using a heat light.
      2. Detach the double-sided tape and clip to remove the rear door weatherstrip LH.
  36. REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 2 WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    NOTE:

    When removing the rear door No. 2 weatherstrip LH, if the double-sided tape is difficult to remove, heat the adhesive of the rear door No. 2 weatherstrip LH using a heat light.

    Rear Door No. 2 Weatherstrip LH 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    WARNING:

      Double-sided Tape - -
      1. Heat the adhesive of the rear door No. 2 weatherstrip LH using a heat light.
      2. Detach the double-sided tape and clip to remove the rear door No. 2 weatherstrip LH.
