Removal [09/2024 - ]: Procedure

- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- DRAIN ENGINE OIL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- REMOVE OIL PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE SENSOR

- DISCONNECT NO. 6 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

- DISCONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

- REMOVE OIL FILTER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER (for Automatic Transaxle)

- REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER (for Automatic Transaxle)

- REMOVE AIR CLEANER WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE (for Automatic Transaxle)

- DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE (for Automatic Transaxle)

- REMOVE NO. 2 AIR TUBE (for Automatic Transaxle)

- REMOVE NO. 4 AIR HOSE (for Automatic Transaxle)

- REMOVE NO. 5 AIR HOSE (for Automatic Transaxle)

- DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER (for Automatic Transaxle)
- DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE (for Automatic Transaxle)
- REMOVE FLYWHEEL HOUSING SIDE COVER
- REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the starter assembly connector.
- Open the terminal cap.
- Disengage the clamp to separate the engine wire.
- Remove the nut and disconnect the engine wire from terminal 30.
- Remove the 2 bolts and starter assembly from the cylinder block sub-assembly.NOTE:
Make sure that the flywheel housing under cover is securely installed.

- Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the starter assembly.
- Disconnect the starter assembly connector.
