Removal [09/2022 - 11/2022]: Procedure

- SECURE VEHICLE
- Fully apply the parking brake and chock a wheel.
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

- REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

- REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

- REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE ECM

- REMOVE BATTERY

- DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE
- REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16
- DISCONNECT FLOOR SHIFT TRANSMISSION CONTROL SELECT CABLE
- REMOVE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the park/neutral position switch assembly connector.
- Remove the nut, washer and control shaft lever from the park/neutral position switch assembly.
- Using a screwdriver, bend back the tabs of the lock plate.
- Remove the lock nut and lock plate from the park/neutral position switch assembly.
- Remove the 2 bolts and park/neutral position switch assembly from the continuously variable transaxle assembly.
- Disconnect the park/neutral position switch assembly connector.
