Disassembly [07/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE KICK DOOR CONTROL SENSOR WITH BRACKET (w/ Kick Sensor) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [10/2022 - ]

  2. REMOVE REAR CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2022 - ]

  3. REMOVE REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2022 - ]

  4. REMOVE REAR CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [10/2022 - ]

  5. REMOVE REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [10/2022 - ]

  6. REMOVE REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2022 - ]

  7. REMOVE REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE 
    1. w/o Kick Sensor:
      1. Disengage the 8 clamps to remove the No. 2 luggage room wire.

    2. w/ Kick Sensor:
      1. Disengage the 9 clamps to remove the No. 2 luggage room wire.

  9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING LH (for Type A) 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and guide to remove the rear bumper side moulding LH.

  10. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING RH (for Type A) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE REAR BUMPER MOULDING 
    1. For Type A:
      1. Remove the screw.

      2. Disengage the 4 claws to remove the rear bumper moulding.

    2. For Type B:
      1. Remove the 5 screws.

      2. Disengage the 8 claws to remove the rear bumper moulding.

  12. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD 
    1. Remove the 2 rear bumper pads.

      *A For RH Side *B For LH Side
  13. REMOVE REAR BUMPER LOWER COVER 
    1. Remove the 6 clips.

    2. Remove the 4 clips.

    3. Disengage the 10 claws to remove the rear bumper lower cover from the rear bumper cover.
  14. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL LH 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the rear bumper side seal LH is necessary.

    1. Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Disengage the claw to remove the rear bumper side seal LH.
  15. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL RH 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the rear bumper side seal RH is necessary.

    1. Remove the 3 clips.

    2. Disengage the claw to remove the rear bumper side seal RH.
  16. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [07/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2022 - ]

  17. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  18. REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER LH 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the rear bumper upper retainer LH is necessary.

    1. Remove the 3 screws and rear bumper upper retainer LH.

  19. REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  20. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the rear bumper side support LH is necessary.

    1. Disengage the 3 clips as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disengage the 5 claws as shown in the illustration to remove the rear bumper side support LH.

      Remove in this Direction
  21. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  22. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the rear bumper energy absorber is necessary.

    1. Disengage the 2 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the rear bumper energy absorber.

      Remove in this Direction
  23. REMOVE REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT 

    HINT: 

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the rear bumper reinforcement is necessary.

    1. Remove the 6 bolts.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the rear bumper reinforcement.
