Removal [07/2020 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - 10/2022]

  2. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Apply protective tape around the rear combination light sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

    2. Remove the screw.

    3. Pull the rear combination light sub-assembly toward the rear of the vehicle as shown in the illustration to disengage the pin and 3 guides and separate the rear combination light sub-assembly.

      Remove in this Direction
      NOTE:

      To prevent the rear combination light sub-assembly from falling when disengaging the pin and 3 guides, make sure to hold the rear combination light sub-assembly.

    4. Disengage the clamp.

      Disconnect in this Direction - -
    5. Turn the rear combination light cord as shown in the illustration to disconnect it.
    6. Disconnect 2 connectors to remove the rear combination light sub-assembly.
  3. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  5. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE BATTERY HOLE COVER (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER STOPPER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  8. SEPARATE REAR SEATBACK BOARD CARPET ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  9. SEPARATE REAR SEATBACK BOARD CARPET ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  10. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR MAT SUPPORT SIDE PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32

  11. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31

  12. SEPARATE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the clip.

    2. Disengage the 2 clips, 2 claws and guide to separate the deck trim side panel assembly as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:

      Do not forcefully pull the deck trim side panel assembly as it may become damaged.

      Separate in this Direction
  13. REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18

  14. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT CORD 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp.
    3. Disengage the grommet to remove the rear combination light cord.
