Disassembly [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE BACK DOOR CENTER GARNISH 
    1. Disengage the 4 claws, 4 clips and 2 guides to remove the back door center garnish.

      *A w/o Digital Inner Mirror
      *B w/ Digital Inner Mirror
  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH LH 
    1. Disengage the 2 clips, 2 claws and 2 guides to remove the back door side garnish LH as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  4. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BASE 
    1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws to remove the back door trim base.

  5. REMOVE DOOR PULL HANDLE 
    1. Apply protective tape to the back door trim board assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Protective Tape
    2. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 6 claws as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disconnect the 2 connectors to remove the door pull handle.

  6. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 14 clips to remove the back door trim board assembly.

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 BACK DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and 2 guides to remove the No. 2 back door service hole cover.

  8. REMOVE POWER BACK DOOR SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH 

    See step  7

  9. REMOVE POWER BACK DOOR SENSOR ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  10. REMOVE REAR INNER MIRROR CAMERA ASSEMBLY (w/ Digital Inner Mirror) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  11. REMOVE MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU 

    See step  7 [07/2020 - 10/2023], or see step  7 [10/2023 - ]

  12. REMOVE BACK DOOR WEIGHT 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the back door weight.
  13. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY WITH COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  14. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOWER STOPPER LH 
    1. Remove the bolt.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the back door lower stopper LH.
  15. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOWER STOPPER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  16. REMOVE HOLE PLUG 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  17. REMOVE REAR SPOILER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  18. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM HEAD CAP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  19. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  20. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  21. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  22. REMOVE BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH LIGHT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  23. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY WITH BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  24. REMOVE REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  25. REMOVE BACK DOOR DUST PROOF SEAL 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the back door dust proof seal.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for all back door dust proof seals.

  26. REMOVE BACK DOOR PANEL CUSHION 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the back door panel cushion.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  27. REMOVE POWER BACK DOOR UNIT SET ASSEMBLY LH 

    See step  7

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  29. REMOVE BACK DOOR DAMPER STAY UPPER BRACKET LH

  31. REMOVE BACK DOOR DAMPER STAY LOWER BRACKET LH
