Installation [12/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL RADIATOR DRAIN COCK PLUG 
    1. Install the O-ring to the radiator drain cock plug.
      NOTE:

      Replace the O-ring if it is damaged.

    2. Install the radiator drain cock plug.
  2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT GROMMET 
    1. Install the 2 radiator support grommets to the radiator assembly.
  3. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
    1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions to the radiator assembly.
  4. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 guides.
    2. Engage the 2 claws to install the fan shroud assembly to the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan shroud assembly.

    3. Install the radiator assembly together with the fan shroud assembly to the vehicle.
  5. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  6. CONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A (for VALEO Made) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  7. CONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A (for DENSO Made) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  8. CONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  9. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  10. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  11. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  12. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  13. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
    2. Engage the clamp to the fan shroud.
  14. CONNECT NO. 3 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 3 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
  15. CONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 3 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
    2. Engage the 4 clamps to the fan shroud.
  16. CONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 1 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
  17. CONNECT RADIATOR PIPE 
    1. Connect the radiator pipe to the fan shroud, and then install the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf) 

  18. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE 
    1. Engage the 4 claws to install the No. 2 radiator air guide to the radiator assembly.
  19. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly together with the hood lock support sub-assembly to the vehicle with the 5 bolts.

      Torque: 12.5 N*m (127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Engage the clamp to connect the wire harnesses to the cooling fan ECU and fan shroud.
    3. Engage the 3 clamps to connect the wire harness to the horn and hood lock support assembly.
    4. Engage the clamp to connect the hood control cable sub-assembly to the upper radiator support sub-assembly.
  20. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 
  21. INSTALL HOOD LOCK NUT CAP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  22. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  23. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE RETAINER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  24. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER UPPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the front bumper upper reinforcement sub-assembly to the vehicle with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 13 N*m (133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf) 

  25. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 
    1. Install the No. 1 air cleaner inlet to the upper radiator support sub-assembly and air cleaner case sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 4.0 N*m (41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf) 

  26. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
  27. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  28. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  29. CHARGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  30. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  31. WARM UP ENGINE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  32. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  33. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 61
