Removal [12/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [12/2015 - 08/2016] Refer to REMOVAL [08/2016 - ] )

  2. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [12/2015 - 08/2016] Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [08/2016 - ]

  3. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [12/2015 - 08/2016] Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [08/2016 - ]

  4. DISCONNECT BREATHER PLUG HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [12/2015 - 08/2016] Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [08/2016 - ]

  5. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [12/2015 - 08/2016] Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2016 - ]

  6. REMOVE TRANSFER STIFFENER PLATE RH 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and transfer stiffener plate RH.

  7. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [12/2015 - 08/2016] Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [08/2016 - ]

  8. REMOVE TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [12/2015 - 08/2016] Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20 [08/2016 - ]

  9. REMOVE TRANSFER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 8 nuts.

    2. Using a plastic hammer, remove the transfer from the automatic transaxle.
      NOTE:
      • Remove the transfer from the automatic transaxle without tilting it.
      • During removal, do not hold the transfer by the oil seals on either side of the assembly.
    3. Remove the 4 transfer and transaxle setting stud bolts.
