Removal [12/2015 - 08/2016]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  3. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  4. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  5. SEPARATE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  6. SEPARATE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER FINISH PANEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  8. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  11. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  12. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly counterclockwise to remove it from the shift lever assembly.

  13. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 4 clips to separate the position indicator housing assembly from the center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.

    2. Disconnect the indicator light wire connector to remove the position indicator housing assembly.
  14. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  15. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (for Slide Type) 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [12/2015 - ] )

  16. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Type) 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [12/2015 - ] )

  17. REMOVE INSTRUMENT LOWER CENTER COVER (w/o Console Box) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 37

  18. REMOVE INSTRUMENT LOWER CENTER COVER (w/ Console Box) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38

  19. REMOVE BOX BOTTOM MAT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40

  20. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH LOWER CENTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39

  21. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35

  22. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  23. REMOVE NO. 2 SWITCH HOLE BASE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31

  24. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32

  25. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH CENTER PANEL ASSEMBLY

  26. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 48

  27. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD RETAINER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 49

  28. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Move the shift lever to N.
    2. Disconnect the transmission control switch connector and shift lock control ECU connector.

    3. Disengage the clamp to separate the wire harness from the shift lever assembly.
    4. Remove the 4 nuts and shift lever assembly from the instrument panel reinforcement.
  29. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the end of the transmission control cable assembly from the shift lever assembly.

    2. Using a screwdriver, pull out the stopper of the transmission control cable assembly.

      NOTE:

      Do not remove the stopper. If the stopper is removed, reinstall it to its original position.

    3. Rotate the nut of the transmission control cable assembly counterclockwise approximately 270° and while holding the nut in that position, separate the cable outer of the transmission control cable assembly from the shift lever retainer.
