Removal [08/2018 - 08/2019]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2017 - 08/2019] ).

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:
    • After the ignition switch is turned off, the navigation system requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    • Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2018 - 08/2019] ).
  3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  6. DRAIN POWER STEERING FLUID 
  7. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS CLAMP

    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect bracket.
  8. DISCONNECT NO. 1 OIL RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE

    1. Detach the clip and disconnect the hose.
  9. DISCONNECT POWER STEERING OIL PRESSURE SENSOR CONNECTOR 
    1. Disconnect the power steering oil pressure sensor connector.

  10. DISCONNECT SOLENOID VALVE CONNECTOR 
    1. Disconnect the solenoid valve connector.

  11. DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the pressure feed tube.

    2. Remove the gasket.
  12. REMOVE VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and vane pump.
