Removal [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to

    PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to

    PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2019 - 08/2021] , or refer to

    PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2021 - ]

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    See step  2

  3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the air cleaner from the air cleaner hose.

      *A for Type A
      *B for Type B
    2. Loosen the 2 bolts and remove the air cleaner with the grommet.
  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose.

    2. Disconnect the vacuum hose.
    3. Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner hose.
  6. REMOVE INLET RADIATOR HOSE 

    See step  5

  7. DISCONNECT OUTLET RADIATOR HOSE 

    See step  6

  8. REMOVE FAN SHROUD 

    See step  7

  9. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS PIPE HOSE (w/ Trailer Towing System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  10. DISCONNECT NO. 3 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE 

    See step  4

  11. DISCONNECT NO. 2 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE 

    See step  5

  12. SEPARATE AIR PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  6

  13. DISCONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 

    See step  8

  14. REMOVE NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Remove the No. 1 water by-pass hose from the water by-pass joint and water inlet housing.

  15. REMOVE INLET WATER HOUSING 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts and inlet water housing and disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose from the inlet water housing.

    2. Remove the gasket from the water pump.
  16. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY 
    1. Using a screwdriver or equivalent with its tip wrapped in protective tape, hold the water pump pulley.

      *a Protective Tape
      *b Hold
      *c Turn
    2. Remove the 4 bolts and water pump pulley.
  17. REMOVE ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 8 bolts, engine water pump and the gasket.
