Removal [08/2015 - 08/2018]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2015 - 08/2017] , or refer to PRECAUTION [08/2017 - 08/2019] ).

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2015 - 08/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2017 - 08/2018] )

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  6. REMOVE INLET RADIATOR HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  7. DISCONNECT OUTLET RADIATOR HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  8. REMOVE FAN SHROUD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  9. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  10. DISCONNECT VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the clamp and 2 power steering connectors.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the vane pump.

  11. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the generator connector.

    2. Remove the terminal cap and nut, and disconnect the generator wire.
    3. Remove the bolt and disconnect the wire harness bracket from the generator.
    4. Remove the 3 bolts, nut and generator.
