Installation [06/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL NO. 2 EV WATER PUMP HOSE 
    1. To prevent contamination by foreign matter, remove the plastic bags from the connecting portions of the No. 2 EV water pump hose and FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly immediately before performing the procedure.
    2. Install the No. 2 EV water pump hose to the FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it.

      *c Area of claw of hose clip: 45°
      *d Pipe Paint Mark (White)
      *e Hose Paint Mark (White)
      *f Distance between hose tip and hose clip location: 2.0 to 5.0 mm (0.0787 to 0.197 in.)
      *g Distance between bend of pipe and hose tip: 0 to 2.0 mm (0 to 0.0787 in.)
      NOTE:
      • When connecting, do not twist the union pipe.
      • Perform the installation with the hose and hose clip at the correct angle.
  2. INSTALL FC WATER AND HYDROGEN PUMP INVERTER ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    1. Connect the hydrogen pump inverter cable connector to the FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly and press in the green lock to securely fix the connector in place as shown in the illustration.

      *1 Green-colored Lock
      NOTE:
      • Do not touch the connector terminals.
      • Check that the connector is securely connected.
    2. Install the FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly to the center frame crossmember sub-assembly with the bolt and 2 nuts.

      Torque: 36 N*m (367 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Connect the FC cooling water pump cable connector to the FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly and press in the green lock to securely fix the connector in place as shown in the illustration.

      *1 Green-colored Lock
      NOTE:
      • Do not touch the connector terminals.
      • Check that the connector is securely connected.
    4. Engage the clamp to connect the FC cooling water pump cable to the FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly.
    5. Connect the 2 FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly connectors.
  3. INSTALL NO. 3 MOTOR WIRE 
    WARNING:

    Wear insulated gloves.

    1. Engage the clamp to connect the No. 3 motor wire to the FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly.
  4. CONNECT WATER PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Temporarily install the water pipe sub-assembly to the FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly and inverter protector with the bolt and 2 nuts.

    2. Tighten the bolt and 2 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf) 

  5. CONNECT NO. 2 EV WATER PUMP HOSE 
    1. To prevent contamination by foreign matter, remove the plastic bags from the connecting portions of the No. 2 EV water pump hose and EV water pump outlet pipe immediately before performing the procedure.
    2. Connect the No. 2 EV water pump hose to the EV water pump outlet pipe and slide the hose clip to secure it.

      *g Distance between hose tip and hose clip location: 2.0 to 5.0 mm (0.0787 to 0.197 in.)
      *h Distance between pipe bracket and hose tip: 0 to 2.0 mm (0 to 0.0787 in.)
      NOTE:

      Perform the installation with the hose and hose clip at the correct angle.

  6. CONNECT NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING OUTLET HOSE 
    1. To prevent contamination by foreign matter, remove the plastic bags from the connecting portions of the No. 1 inverter cooling outlet hose and FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly immediately before performing the procedure.
    2. Connect the No. 1 inverter cooling outlet hose to the FC water and hydrogen pump inverter assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it.

  7. INSTALL FC INVERTER INPUT JUNCTION ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [06/2015 - ] 

  8. ADD COOLANT (for Inverter) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  9. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Inverter) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  10. INSTALL NO. 3 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  11. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER LOWER ABSORBER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38 [06/2015 - 11/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38 [11/2018 - ]
