- REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE NO. 1 AMPLIFIER ANTENNA ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE CENTER STOP LIGHT SET

- REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT COVER

- DISCONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

- DISCONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure for the LH side.
- REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE BACK WINDOW GLASS NOTE:
The back door glass may fall while performing this procedure. Therefore, use suction cups to hold the back window glass from the outside of the vehicle.
- Place protective tape on the main surface of the luggage compartment door hinge cover for the back window glass.
*a Protective Tape - Apply protective tape to the area around the installation position of the back window glass sub-assembly on the vehicle body to prevent it from being scratched.
Protective Tape - Disconnect the connectors.
- Using a knife, cut off the back window outside moulding as shown in the illustration.
*1 Back Window Glass *2 Back Window Moulding Outside *a Vehicle Body *b Cut NOTE:- Be careful not to damage or scratch the back window glass or vehicle body.
- If the body panel is scratched, perform antirust treatment after removing the back window glass.
- When reusing the windshield glass:
- Place matchmarks on the windshield glass sub-assembly and vehicle body at the locations indicated in the illustration.
*a Matchmark Protective Tape HINT:
Matchmarks are not necessary if the windshield glass sub-assembly is not going to be reused.
- Install the suction cups to the windshield glass.
- Pass a piano wire between the vehicle body and windshield glass sub-assembly from the interior.
*1 BACK WINDOW GLASS STOPPER *2 CONNECTOR *a Piano Wire - Tie both wire ends to wooden blocks or similar objects that can serve as handles.
- Cut off the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the windshield glass sub-assembly.
- Using suction cups, disengage the back window glass stoppers to remove the back window glass sub-assembly.NOTE:
Make sure that the back door glass does not fall.
*A STOPPER for 1-piece Type *B STOPPER for 2-piece Type *1 BACK WINDOW GLASS STOPPER NO. 1 *2 NO. 2 BACK WINDOW GLASS STOPPER *3 BACK WINDOW GLASS - - NOTE:The No. 1 windshield glass stoppers and No. 2 windshield glass stoppers are installed to the windshield glass sub-assembly as shown in the illustration. Be careful not to damage the windshield glass sub-assembly when cutting off the adhesive.
- Place protective tape on the main surface of the luggage compartment door hinge cover for the back window glass.
- REMOVE BACK WINDOW OUTSIDE MOULDING
*a Back Side - When reusing the back window glass:
- Using a scraper, remove the back window outside moulding.NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the back window glass.
- Be sure to replace the back window outside moulding with a new one.
- Using a scraper, remove the back window outside moulding.
- When reusing the back window glass:
- REMOVE BACK WINDOW GLASS ADHESIVE DAM
*a Back Side - When reusing the back window glass:
- Using a scraper, remove the back window glass adhesive dam.NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the back window glass.
- Be sure to replace the back window glass adhesive dam with a new one.
- Using a scraper, remove the back window glass adhesive dam.
- When reusing the back window glass:
- REMOVE NO. 1 BACK WINDOW GLASS STOPPER (for 1-piece Type)
*a Back Side - When reusing the back window glass:
- Using a scraper, remove the 2 No. 1 back window glass stoppers from the back side of the back window glass.NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the back window glass.
- Be sure to replace the 1-piece type No. 1 back window glass stoppers with new 2-piece type No. 1 and No. 2 back window glass stoppers.
- Using a scraper, remove the 2 No. 1 back window glass stoppers from the back side of the back window glass.
- When reusing the back window glass:
- REMOVE NO. 2 BACK WINDOW GLASS STOPPER (for 2-piece Type)
*a Back Side - When reusing the back window glass:
- Using a scraper, remove the 2 No. 2 back window glass stoppers from the back side of the back window glass.NOTE:
- Be careful not to damage the back window glass.
- Be sure to replace the No. 2 back window glass stoppers with new ones.
- Using a scraper, remove the 2 No. 2 back window glass stoppers from the back side of the back window glass.
- When reusing the back window glass:
- REMOVE NO. 1 BACK WINDOW GLASS STOPPER (for 2-piece Type)
Remove in this Direction - Remove the 2 No. 1 back window glass stoppers from the vehicle body.NOTE:
Be sure to replace the No. 1 back window glass stoppers with new ones.
- Remove the 2 No. 1 back window glass stoppers from the vehicle body.
