Removal [01/2018 - 11/2018]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [06/2015 - ]

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

      WARNING:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [06/2015 - ]

  5. REMOVE CENTER STOP LIGHT SET 

    Refer to REMOVAL [06/2015 - ]

  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  8. SEPARATE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    1. Separate the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.
  9. SEPARATE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
    1. Separate the rear door opening trim weatherstrip RH.
  10. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  11. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  12. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  13. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  14. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT COVER 
    1. Disengage the claws and guides to remove the rear seat shoulder belt cover as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure to remove the opposite side.

  15. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disconnect the floor anchor of the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly LH.

  16. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  17. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the clips as shown in the illustration.

      Place Hands Here Remove in this Direction
    2. Disengage the guides shown in the illustration, separate the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly LH and rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly RH to remove the package tray trim panel assembly.

      Remove in this Direction - -
  18. REMOVE REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Type A) 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, pull out the locking button to release the lock to disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts.

    3. Disengage the guide to remove the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly.

  19. REMOVE REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Type B) 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disengage the guide to separate the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly.

    3. For LH Side:

      *1 Locking Button
      *a Protective Tape
      1. Disengage the clamp.
      2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, pull out the locking button to release the lock to disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

      For RH Side:

      1. Disengage the clamps.
      2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, pull out the locking button to release the lock to disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.
  20. REMOVE SEAT BELT RETRACTOR COVER 
    1. Disengage the guide to remove the seat belt retractor cover.
