Removal [12/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 

    See step  1 , or see step  1

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - 11/2016] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]

  4. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  5. REMOVE BATTERY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31

  6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  7. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  8. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose.

  9. DISCONNECT RADIATOR RESERVE TANK HOSE 
    1. Disconnect the radiator reserve tank hose.

  10. REMOVE FAN SHROUD ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the cooling fan ECU connector.

    2. Disengage the 4 wire harness clamps.
    3. Disengage the 3 claws.

    4. Disengage the 3 guides to remove the fan shroud assembly from the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when removing the fan shroud assembly.

  11. REMOVE FAN 
    1. Remove the nut and fan.

  12. REMOVE NO. 2 FAN 
    1. Remove the nut and No. 2 fan.

  13. REMOVE COOLING FAN MOTOR 
    1. Disconnect the cooling fan motor connector and disengage the wire harness from the 2 clamps.

    2. Remove the 3 screws and cooling fan motor.

  14. REMOVE NO. 2 COOLING FAN MOTOR 
    1. Disconnect the No. 2 cooling fan motor connector and disengage the wire harness from the 2 clamps.

    2. Remove the 3 screws and No. 2 cooling fan motor.
