Removal [11/2015 - 06/2017]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 

    (Refer to PRECAUTION [11/2015 - ] )

  2. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [11/2015 - 06/2017] )

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE 
    1. Disengage the 4 claws and 2 clips as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disconnect each connector and remove the No. 1 switch hole base.
  4. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LH 
    1. Disengage the 9 claws and remove the lower instrument panel finish panel LH as shown in the illustration.

  5. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  7. REMOVE NO. 6 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the clamp.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage the guide and remove the No. 6 heater to register duct assembly as shown in the illustration.

  8. REMOVE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for Radio and Display Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  9. REMOVE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (for Navigation Receiver Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  10. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH 
    1. Disengage the 3 clips and 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:

      Do not forcibly pull the lower instrument cluster finish panel garnish as it may be damaged.

      HINT: 

      Disengage the clips and guides from the outer side first.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws, 5 clips and guide as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:

      Do not forcibly pull the lower instrument cluster finish panel garnish as it may be damaged.

      HINT: 

      If the clips, claws and guide are difficult to disengage, use a molding remover.

    3. Disengage the claw to remove the lower instrument cluster finish panel garnish as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:

      Do not forcibly pull the lower instrument cluster finish panel garnish as it may be damaged.

      HINT: 

      If the claw is difficult to disengage, use a molding remover.

  11. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  12. REMOVE ROOM TEMPERATURE SENSOR (COOLER THERMISTOR) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  13. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX COVER

  14. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL

  15. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX

  16. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET (w/o Console Box Lid)

  17. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (w/o Console Box Lid)

  18. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX PLATE (w/ Console Box Lid)

  19. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (w/ Console Box Lid)

  20. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 3 clamps.

    2. Remove the screw <D>.

    3. Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.

    4. Using a moulding remover, pull the instrument panel box in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) to disengage the 5 claws (A).

    5. Pull the instrument panel box in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) to disengage the 2 claws (B) and remove the instrument panel box assembly.
  21. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the claw and release the glove compartment door stopper sub-assembly.

      *1 Glove Compartment Door Stopper Sub-assembly
    2. Slightly bend the stopper (A) and (B) in the directions indicated by the arrows in the illustration and pull the glove compartment door assembly until the stoppers are released.
    3. Open the glove compartment door assembly to approximately 55° from its closed position. Pull it horizontally in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage the 2 hinges and remove the glove compartment door assembly.

      NOTE:

      Pulling the glove compartment door assembly upward to remove it causes the hinges to deform. Be sure to pull out the glove compartment door assembly horizontally.

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  26. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the claw and 2 guides and disconnect the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  27. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage each clamp.

    2. Disconnect each connector.
    3. Disengage the 2 claws to disconnect the DLC3.
    4. Remove the 2 bolts <A>, 7 screws <C> and screw <B> and lower instrument panel sub-assembly.
