Disassembly [12/2012 - 08/2016]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw to remove the reclining adjuster release handle LH.

      *1 Protective Tape

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  2. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH 
    1. Remove the screw and vertical adjusting handle LH.

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH 
    1. Detach the 2 clips and claw.

    2. Detach the claw and 3 guides to remove the front seat cushion shield LH as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.

  4. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH 
    1. Detach the 2 claws and 3 guides to remove the front inner seat cushion shield LH as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.

  5. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. Detach the 2 claws and 3 guides to remove the front inner seat cushion shield RH as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.

  6. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the rubber band.

    2. Detach the 4 wire clamps and connector clamp to disconnect the wire harness of the front seat side airbag.

      *1 Wire Harness Clamp
      *2 Connector Clamp
    3. Detach the fastener to disconnect the wire harness of the front seat airbag assembly LH.

    4. for Front Passenger Side, Type A:

      Remove the screw to disconnect the wire harness of the front seat inner belt assembly.

    5. w/ Seat Heater System:

      1. Detach the connector clamp and wire harness clamp.
      2. Disconnect the connector.
    6. Detach the 2 hooks.

    7. Remove the 4 bolts and separate type front seatback assembly.

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT 
    1. Detach the 4 claws to remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

  8. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER 
    1. Remove the 5 hog rings.

    2. Remove the 3 hog rings.

    3. for Sports Seat Type:

      Open the 2 fasteners.

    4. Remove the 2 nuts.

    5. Pull the separate type front seatback cover bracket from the separate type front seatback pad.
    6. Remove the 8 hog rings and separate type front seatback cover from the separate type front seatback pad.

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Seat Heater System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  10. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK PAD 
    1. Remove the separate type front seatback pad from the separate type front seatback spring assembly LH.
  11. REMOVE SEATBACK FELT 
    1. Remove the seatback felt from the separate type front seatback spring assembly LH.
  12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  13. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD 
    1. for Driver Side:
      1. Detach the 12 hooks to remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

    2. for Front Passenger Side:
      1. w/ Seat Heater System:

        Detach the 4 wire harness clamps and connector clamp to disconnect the wire harness of the front seat cushion heater.

      2. Detach the 11 hooks to remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

  14. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER 
    1. Remove the 21 hog rings and separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

  15. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  17. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Seat Heater System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  18. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side) 
    1. Detach the 3 wire harness clamps and connector clamp.

    2. Detach the wire harness clamp.

    4. Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly LH.

      1. Disconnect the connector.
      2. Detach the clamp.

      3. Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly RH.
    2. for Type B:

      1. Disconnect the connector.
      2. Detach the clamp.

      3. Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly RH.
  20. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE RH (for Front Passenger Side) 
    1. for Type A:

      Disconnect the 4 connectors and detach the 6 clamps to remove the front seat wire RH.

    2. for Type B:

      Disconnect the 4 connectors and detach the 5 clamps to remove the front seat wire RH.

  21. REMOVE OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  22. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH 
    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the hook in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.
    3. Detach the clip to remove the front lower seat cushion shield LH.

  23. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the front lower seat cushion shield LH.

  24. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH

      Remove the front outer seat cushion edge protector LH in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

  25. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the front outer seat cushion edge protector LH.

  26. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Front Passenger Side)

      Remove the front seat outer cushion edge protector RH in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

  27. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Front Passenger Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the front seat outer cushion edge protector RH.

  28. REMOVE SEAT TRACK ADJUSTING HANDLE 
    1. Detach the 2 hooks to remove the seat track adjusting handle in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

  29. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP 
    1. Remove the 2 seat adjuster cover caps from the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly LH.
