Installation [02/2014 - 11/2016]: Procedure
- INSTALL STUD BOLT
HINT:
If a stud bolt is deformed or the threads are damaged, replace it.
- INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD
- Install 2 new intake manifold to head gaskets to the cylinder head sub-assembly LH and RH.NOTE:
- Align the port holes of the gaskets and cylinder head sub-assembly LH and RH.
- Make sure that the gaskets are installed in the correct direction.
- Temporarily install the intake manifold to the cylinder head sub-assembly LH and RH with the 6 bolts and 4 nuts.
- Tighten the 6 bolts and 4 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.
Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)
Bolt Nut
- Install 2 new intake manifold to head gaskets to the cylinder head sub-assembly LH and RH.
- INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- CONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH (for Intake Manifold Side)
- Install the No. 2 engine mounting stay RH to the intake manifold with the bolt.
Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)
- Install the No. 2 engine mounting stay RH to the intake manifold with the bolt.
- INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH (for Engine Mounting Stay Side)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33
- INSTALL EGR DELIVERY CHAMBER
- Install a new No. 2 intake manifold gasket to the intake manifold.
- Install the EGR delivery chamber to the intake manifold.
- Connect the EGR valve assembly connector.
- Connect the No. 7 water by-pass hose and No. 8 water by-pass hose to the EGR valve assembly and slide the 2 clips to secure them.
- INSTALL NO. 2 EGR PIPE
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- INSTALL RESERVOIR BRACKET
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34
- INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 36 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35
- INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY NOTE:
Do not apply oil to the bolts as listed below:
Oil Application Prohibited Bolt and Nut Bolt and Nut for Intake Air Surge Tank Assembly and Intake Manifold Bolt for No. 1 Surge Tank Stay and Intake Air Surge Tank Assembly Bolt for Throttle Body Bracket and Intake Air Surge Tank Assembly - Install 3 new air surge tank to intake manifold gaskets to the intake air surge tank assembly.
- Temporarily install the intake air surge tank assembly to the intake manifold with the 4 bolts and 2 nuts.
- Using a 5 mm hexagon socket wrench, tighten the 4 bolts and 2 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

Bolt Nut Bolt
Torque: 18 N*m (184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf)
Nut
Torque: 16 N*m (163 kgf*cm, 12 ft.*lbf)
Install the throttle body bracket to the intake air surge tank assembly and cylinder head cover sub-assembly with the 2 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.
Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)

Install the No. 1 surge tank stay to the intake air surge tank assembly and cylinder head cover sub-assembly with the 2 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.
Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)
- Engage the wire harness clamp to the No. 1 surge tank stay.
- Connect the manifold absolute pressure sensor connector.
- Connect the ventilation hose to the intake air surge tank assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
- Engage the 5 clamps and install the engine wire to the vehicle body.
- Connect the No. 1 fuel vapor feed hose to the intake air surge tank assembly.
- INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

- INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK
