Installation [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install a new gasket and the water pump assembly with the 17 bolts.

      for bolt A 

      Torque: 47 N.m (479 kgf/cm, 35 ft.lbf) 

      for bolt B 

      Torque: 11 N.m (112 kgf/cm, 8 ft.lbf) 

      for bolt C 

      Torque: 23 N.m (235 kgf/cm, 17 ft.lbf) 

  2. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  3. INSTALL COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2015 - 08/2020] , or refer to INSTALLATION [08/2020 - ] )

  4. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2015 - ] )

  5. CONNECT VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the vane pump assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 43 N.m (438 kgf/cm, 32 ft.lbf) 

    2. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps.
    3. Connect the 2 connectors.
  6. INSTALL NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. for Separate Type:

      Install the 2 idler pulley cover plates, 2 No. 2 idler pulley sub-assemblies and 2 No. 2 idler pulley cover plates with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 54 N.m (551 kgf/cm, 40 ft.lbf) 

    2. for Integrated Type:

      Install the 2 No. 2 idler pulley sub-assemblies with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 54 N.m (551 kgf/cm, 40 ft.lbf) 

  7. INSTALL WATER INLET HOUSING 
    1. Install a new O-ring to the water outlet pipe.

      *1 O-ring
      *2 Gasket
    2. Install a new gasket to the water pump assembly.
    3. Apply soapy water to the gasket of the water outlet pipe.
    4. Install the water inlet housing with the 5 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    5. Connect the 5 water by-pass hoses and slide the 5 hose clamps to secure them.
    6. Connect the No. 2 oil cooler hose and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.
    7. Connect the oil cooler hose and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.
    8. Connect the throttle body connector.
  8. CONNECT AIR TUBE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the air tube assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

  9. INSTALL FAN SHROUD 

    See step  4

  10. CONNECT OIL COOLER TUBE 

    See step  5

  11. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVOIR TANK 

    See step  6

  12. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 

    See step  7

  13. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 

    See step  8

  14. INSTALL V-BANK COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  15. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    See step  10

  16. INSPECT FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  17. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 67

  18. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BUMPER COVER (w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 68

  19. INSTALL AIR INTAKE DUCT LH (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 69

  20. INSTALL AIR INTAKE DUCT RH (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 70

  21. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BUMPER COVER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 71

  22. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT (for 4WD with Intuitive Parking Assist System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [08/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [08/2019 - 08/2020] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [08/2020 - 08/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 [08/2021 - ]

  23. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 60
